An Early Christmas Celebration

Instead of exchanging gifts this year, a friend and I agreed to treat ourselves to a Christmas lunch. We decided to splurge a little so she made reservations at the Mission Inn. The Mission Inn has a several nice restaurants and is also a first class hotel in nearby Riverside, CA. We selected the reasonably priced buffet.  It was fabulous!

There was holiday cheer and decor at every turn…

and outside.

After the hustle of preparing for Christmas, it was nice to just relax and catch up with good food…

…and a good friend.

She broke the no gifts rule and gave me this adorable and appropriately named bracelet.

(Thank you I love it!)

There was no corner of the hotel that was left undecorated.

No detail went unnoticed.

There was something for everyone to appreciate and enjoy.

  1. I will have the Greats this Saturday night. I would like to drive by and let them just get a look at how lovely it is without even going in. They are too little for the hustle and bustle. Have a Wonderful Christmas Jan

  2. What a lovely way to spend the day. I haven’t been to Riverside in years. We used to live in Burbank and my son still works there…for now. I spent the last month helping him pack out. Got as far as Glendale once. Lunch with a friend is a great way to relax and that place looks just lovely. I’m starting to breathe again but it’s still a bit shallow. Next week I’ll fully start to enjoy the holiday and relax. Just looking at your photos calms me. Thanks.
