One of our favorite local antique stores is Treasures N” Junk in Ontario, CA. They have antiques, hand crafted items, one of a kind pieces, and many DIY projects.
We stopped by last week to see what new discoveries might be found. My newest treasure was this Royal Norfolk mini teapot and creamer. I thought it might be a good creamer and sugar set for us. Now, I am not so sure. It is just too cute (and you may see it in my store!)
They have many sections or ‘stalls’ that various sellers rent. I have found this typical of most antique malls or larger stores.
Antique shopping is a pastime Thommmee and I enjoy doing together. Our favorite Southern California locations are The Historic Orange Circle in Orange, CA, The Riverside Downtown Mall in Riverside, CA, and The Antique Row in Pomona, CA. Pomona also has great outdoor bi-monthly street faire that is worth attending. We have found some fabulous items at this event.
During our frequent road trips across county, we have been to antique stores in Missouri (St Mary’s Antique Mall) , Illinois, Oklahoma, and many points in between. Surprisingly, we often see many similar items and the prices do not seem to vary as much as I would have thought.
Even if you only have an hour to spare, just like to window shop, or are looking for that fabulous find, antique shopping can be a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
See you there!
P.S. Happy Valentine’s Day! Toss in a nice lunch and this can also be a romantic and fun outing.
